    Abstract: This Study discusses the development of the High Speed Rail (HSR) in China, from its policy and problems. We also analyzed the comparison between the eastern countries and western countries in HSR development. The network of China HSR is expansion but there are still some challenges that it has to overcome. Furthermore, the HSR development in China also implies the economic growth and regional development of the western part in China. China HSR will boost the mobility of the population, and suggests that China should extend the oversea railway market development, reform the railway structure.
    The result of this paper shows that an overall strategy of High Speed Rail in China. High Speed Rail is a tool for political and economic integration in China. It’s also an experienced technology that delivers genuine transport profit and can dictate market share against road and airline transport over the medium distances. HSR is a media for building good relationships between China and its neighbor countries. Thus, safety and human life is the most important priority in the development of China and Asia-Pacific region.
