Abstract: | 本研究旨在探討智慧型手機的研發過程,思考如何跳脫以新穎功能研發為主的傳統工程師思維,重新回到使用者的生活脈絡,由智慧型手機的使用不便與痛點,進行手機再設計的創新智慧。
智慧型行動裝置已成為現代人行動生活的一部分,產品生命週期短,功能日新月異,創造激烈競爭的市場動態。然而,新穎前衛的創新科技為何不能得到使用者的青睞?為何上億元的廣告行銷經費居然對使用者失靈?這成為智慧型手機廠商的創新痛點。例如,宏達電在2012年推出hTC One,強調快速對焦、瞬間開機、以及連拍99張照片的功能;也花費大筆行銷經費,但卻未造成市場熱賣。多數智慧型廠商強調由使用者行為出發,以發現其創新需求。然而,為何使用者的需求仍然無法被滿足?又或者手機廠商並未真實了解使用者的需求?
對於手機使用者來說,功能僅僅是選擇手機的一部分原因,更重要的決定性因素是使用者經驗,這意味著每一個看似無形的細節,都會影響消費決策。現今,企業之間的競爭就是創新的競爭。而企業的創新能力不只仰賴企業自己的核心能力,企業還須經常借助外部資源,以強化競爭優勢。越善於整合內外部資源的企業,她的創新能力就能強過競爭者。而最重要的外部資源之一,就是使用者。越能夠真正瞭解顧客需求的企業,越能借助使用者的創新智慧,越能提高企業創新能量。因此,越來越多企業不得不重新思考如何貼近使用者的生活,以提出創新設計。
本研究針對智慧型手機使用者,以人物誌分析(persona),提出三類具有代表性的智慧型手機使用者,竹科創業家、時尚經理人、小資大專生等,從他們獨特的使用者經驗上,分析使用行為背後的特殊的行動需求。同時,本研究特別歸納整理不同類型的使用「痛點」,並進一步對比工程師思維,以思考解決痛點的重新設計,並反思設計智慧的意涵。 This study investigates the development of smart phones, and analyzes the persistence of traditional engineers’ mindsets. For example, hTC launched ‘hTC One’ in 2012 emphasizing on the outstanding functions of camera, such as fast focus, instant boot, as well as shooting 99 pieces at once. However, hTC One did not trigger users’ interests and the sales went down.
Most smart vendors put emphasis on the importance of users’need. However, it seems that many uers’ need are not well-satisfied by engineers. “Do engineers really understand users?“ This question inspires deep investigation.
This study puts lots of efforts to understand users’ life style and learn how they interact with smart phones. By comparing case studies, researcher comes up with three types of “personas” and learn their behaviours of using smart phones. Also, researcher analyzes the unmet need of users’ painpoints.Comparing with engineers’ fuctional designs, this research find out that there is a gap in between with engineers’ mindsets and users’ concerns.
This research suggests that, only when engineers come back to users’ life contexts and learn how they interact with smart phones, can enginners come up with “design intelligence”. "誌謝詞 II
