Interviewer plays the most important role in the data collection procedure. Researches indicate that interview effect affects external validity and internal validity of survey research. The cause of interviewer effect might relative to interviewer’s demographic characteristics, vocal characteristics, interviewer’s attitude and interviewer’s skill and ability. Most of the interviewer’s demographic characteristics and vocal characteristics are inherent, but it is possible to improve interviewer’s speaking speed, intonation pattern, accent, competent and confident by training, or reduce the effect of demographic characteristics by matching. The method of improving interviewer’s attitude, skill and ability is interviewer training, whereas supervision is to make sure the interviewers follow the rule of standardized survey interview. Therefore for the person who concerned with reducing interviewer- related error, the place to focus is on interviewer training and supervision. This research will evaluate interviewer training program and supervision by conducting focus group. Participants will be interviewer and supervisors. Our research will be focus on:
    1. collecting information of the difficulties which interviewer encounter,
    2. knowing the merit and weakness of training program
    3. knowing the merit and weakness of interviewer supervisory system,
    4. receiving suggestions from interviewers and supervisors Our final goal is to establish more effective interviewer-training program and supervisory system, thus we are able to assure the survey quality by reducing interviewer-related error.
