verbs in Japanese. For example, the transitive verb “morasu” has two corresponding intransitive verbs “moru” and “moreru”. The aim of this research is to clarify the relations between multiple corresponding transitive (intransitive) verbs and its' intransitive (transitive) verbs. Meanwhile, the irregular correspondence can also been seen on the general transitive verbs and intransitives verbs, and the “transitive-intransitives" type compound verbs. To clarify those irregular correspondence rules and the relation between them is also the aim of this research. Some multiple corresponding transitive or intransitive verbs are apparently related to the Unaccusative Hypothesis, but there is no research about this until now. Also the three classifications of intransitive verbs: “action, spontaneousness, participant” are helpful for the description of transitive and intransitive verbs. To clarify the relations between these theories and multiple corresponding transitive and intransitive verbs are also the aim of this research. By these points of view, it is hoped that the characteristic of the transitive verbs and intransitive verbs in Japanese will be clarified.
