The project wants to collect the books about the theme of “drug addition, crime, social problems and psychological intervention”. This project provides the platform that the scholars or researchers could conveniently and fast use. Through this project, the NCCU library can multiply their book collections. The theme of drug addition is not only the subject of public health, psychiatry or clinical psychology, but also involves the field of cognitive neuroscience, economics, social policy, ethics, or law. If this project could collect these field about the drug addition, then will provide the books that the study of drug addition needs, and will facilitate the integration of public health, medicine and social science. The books of drug addition mostly collected in medical college in Taiwan. These books almost emphasized the medical and biological bases. The NCCU points the development of art and social science, so the library collects less books of drug addition. Recently, the Department of Psychology in NCCU integrated the experimental psychology and clinical psychology, collaborated with other research institutes, and developed the center of mind, brain and learning that hopes to move the transitional research. If this project could be completely executed, we expect the integrated research could move effectively.
