Database of Indigenous Peoples’ public life of Morakot-devastated Area in Taitung This database contains the renewal process of aboriginal tribes of Morakot-devastated area in Taitung. Then, historical accounts of past events of Sianlan and Daniao gathered by local cultural and historic workers for 5 years were also collected and compiled in this database, such as family trees, migration history, old photos of tribe and images of tribal workers. Besides, this study will cooperate with South Island Community College and try to learn by doing, cultivating community participation in public life of local NPOs, key members of the community development, and new generation of indigenous people. For instance, they participate in community cultural and creative industries, such as millet and tribal hip bell workshop, spreading cultural activities like tracing family root of the tribe, and learn how to build these events into this database. In the future, even though the government draws the disaster renewal project to an end, we anticipate new generations enable to continually collect, compile, construct and enlarge this database of tribal ecology, history and language after possessing basic abilities of narrative and digital technology, and contribute to an information network that provides with recoding public life, tribal heritage renewal, and community development. |
