The development of cloud computing brings more flexible options of information technology for the small and medium business (SMB). With the help of public cloud services, such as Google Docs, the SMB share their business information with lower cost and higher efficiency. They do not need to take care of the facilities of how to share but what the information they want it to be coordinated. There is downside for this situation. The hybrid environment might mess up the digital assets of the SMB because of the leak of integrity between the interior repository and its counterpart in the cloud. The risky downside makes the SMB been hesitated on embracing the cloud technology even it could be beneficial in the long-term prospection. The downside has two aspects: “the chaos of information” and “the crisis of management”. The chaos originated from the possibility of informational-disagreement among the scattering copies. The crisis means the unauthorized access to the private-owned digital assets. Our research and development project plans to solve the problem by synchronizing the content and permissions between the local file repository and the cloud services. The project has been split into two affiliated sub-projects. The major project will base on the research results of sub-projects to build up an integrated solution by utilizes their libraries and components. And the solution is going to open source.
