From architecture, interior design, to custom service, libraries in 21st century keep weeding out the old and bringing forth the new constantly in order to meet the demands of modern readers. This study introduces Holland’s DOK Library Concept Center, which combines collections and services with innovations. It offers a comfortable space to readers by dividing library into many multi-functional areas such as children area, entertainment facility, multimedia-zone and so on. By presenting brand-new ideas and services, DOK in Holland attracts the general public to use libraries. In this way, DOK makes itself a milestone and should be a learning pattern for the transformation of public libraries in Taiwan.
