Abstract:	立陶宛裔美國著名作家及女權運動者。擅長以嚴謹的哲學方法，分析當代文化的各個面向和弊病，被譽為腋美國公眾的良心夜。除了文學評論、社會批評及小說外，她也寫電影劇本、導演電影。作品有《恩》、《死亡用具》、《論攝影》、《病痛之隱喻》、《火山情人》等，其歷史小說《在美國》，榮獲2000年美國國家圖書獎。
