    Abstract: 英文單字是遣詞造句最基本之要素,因此英語教師應竭盡所能協助英文學習者增加字彙。學習記憶字彙的方法雖多,但幾乎沒有教師利用字根的語音轉換來訓練學生記憶單字。為彌補此一缺失,本文將以格林法則為主,並加以擴充,使成為語音轉換之模式。藉此模式可以大量減少繁重的記憶功夫,可使原本簡單的字彙,轉換成深奧的字彙,也能激發學生運用心智,啟發思考,促進聯想,把原本枯燥乏味的單字記誦,變成一種觸類旁通、趣味盎然的推理活動,幫助記憶成串的單字。藉語音轉換也可了解語音變化的現象如同化、異化、弱化、增音、減音、顎化等。希此模式對英文艱深難記的字彙教學上能有所貢獻。此外並發現語音轉換法則並非是印歐語系的特有現象,非印歐語系的漢語實際上也有此現象。
