Title:	台灣新聞人員背景及工作概況之研究

Abstract:	本研究的主要目的，在描繪臺灣地區新聞從業人員的背景資料，並比較廣播、電視及報紙新聞從業人員背景之異同。這是臺灣地區第一項全國性的新聞人員研究，抽樣方法採隨機抽樣法，從臺灣地區的廣播、電視及報紙新聞從業人員中，抽出1300人進行問卷調查，主要的目的如下：1.描繪台灣地區新聞從業人員的基本社會經濟背景（如性別、年齡、教育程度、年資、收入、工作滿意程度、省籍、政黨認同等）。2.比較廣播、電視及報紙新聞從業人員的基本社經背景。資料分析顯示，典型的新聞從業人員是已婚男性、年齡約36歲、外省籍或本省籍閩南人、大學畢業、主修新聞或大眾傳播、在報社工作九年多，每月收入四萬六千元、黨籍是國民黨、但在政治理念上不支持任何政黨、在工作時擁有部份或相當的自主權、對目前的工作感到滿意、未來五年內最希望繼續留在目前的工作機構服務。
