    摘要: The US plays probably the most important role in the interrelationship of the issues of Asia-Pacific security and the cross-strait relation. Since the Chinese People`s Liberation Army launched provocative military exercises near Taiwan in March 1996, the US has adjusted its China policy. This adjustmen has in turn brought policy modifications both in Mainland China and on Taiwan. This article attempts to analyze these changes.
    論及亞太安全與兩岸關係因素時，美國扮演起最重要的角色。一九九六年三月，中共軍隊在台灣海峽進行具有挑釁的軍事演習後，美國調整了其與中國大陸的雙邊關係。美國對中國大陸政策的調整帶動了台灣海峽兩岸各自內部與外部關係的調整。本文試圖分析三者政策作為的調整。
