    Abstract: 在近年多數國家對中國好感度普遍下降的國際趨勢下,馬來西亞華人社群卻呈現相對上升的態度走向,形成一個具有研究意義的現象。本研究即以此反差為背景,探討中國社群媒體與「短視頻」在馬來西亞的快速崛起,是否成為推動這種變化的重要因素,並進一步論證網路內容是否影響馬來西亞華人對中國的態度。研究特別關注影片形式的差異,分析不同形式如何塑造閱聽人的認知與態度,並進一步評估何種形式最能增加馬來西亞民眾對中國的好感度。
    研究透過深度訪談與內文分析,聚焦三種影片形式——個人講述型、雙人對談型與 Vlog 生活型——以比較其在說服力、可信度與情感連結上的差異。研究發現,中國雖積極透過社群平台與影音內容輸出價值與形象,但影響效果並非直接生效,而是受到閱聽人的「選擇性接受」與再詮釋。此現象呼應有限效果論,顯示媒體影響常受社會文化脈絡的限制與干擾。
    本研究也指出文化交流呈現多層次與非對等特徵,馬來西亞華人仍保有主動篩選與詮釋能力,展現出新媒體時代閱聽人的能動性。
    In recent years, while favorable attitudes toward China have declined in many countries, the Malaysian Chinese community has shown a contrasting trend of increasing affinity, constituting a phenomenon of research significance. This study examines whether the rapid rise of Chinese social media and short-video platforms in Malaysia has contributed to this shift, and further investigates whether online content influences Malaysian Chinese perceptions of China. Special attention is given to the differences among video formats, analyzing how different forms shape audience cognition and attitudes, and evaluating which format is most effective in enhancing favorable views of China.
    Using in-depth interviews and textual analysis, the study focuses on three video formats—personal monologue, dual-speaker dialogue, and vlog-style narratives—to compare their differences in persuasiveness, credibility, and emotional resonance. The findings reveal that although China actively disseminates values and images through social media platforms and video content, the impact is not immediate but mediated by audiences’ “selective reception” and reinterpretation. This reflects the Limited Effects perspective, emphasizing that media influence is often constrained by socio-cultural contexts.
    Overall, this study highlights that cultural exchange is multi-layered and asymmetrical. Malaysian Chinese audiences retain agency in filtering and reinterpreting content, demonstrating the active role of audiences in the new media era.
