    Abstract: 本研究主要目的在探討個體的認定威脅經驗對職場八卦行為的預測效果,依據挫折攻擊假說的觀 點,經歷挫折的個體可能引發攻擊行為,而職場八卦即為一種間接攻擊行為。當個體經常接收到外在 環境剌激或行動對其能力、尊嚴及自我價值的挑戰與傷害,認定威脅於焉產生,因為這些剌激或行動 危及個體的認定意義、價值及未來的發展,我們可將其視為是一種挫折來源,因而可能引發職場八卦 的威脅反應。本研究推論,受到認定威脅的工作者,會顯著提升其職場八卦行為,而認定威脅-職場八 卦間的關係,可能受到個人屬性與組織情境所調節,因此本研究也進一步探討個人屬性中的良心行為 與核心自我估,以及組織情境中的同事支持與個人地位對認定威脅-職場八卦的調節效果,用以說明認 定威脅可能作用的組織情境。
    This study examined whether the experience of identity threat predicts workplace gossip directed towards other employees. A frustration-aggression hypothesis is used as the theoretical framework for predicting that employees who are frequent recipients of actions that challenge or diminish their sense of competence, dignity, or self-worth will engage in higher levels of workplace gossip. Because these employees had an experiences appraised as indicating potential harm to the value, meanings, or enactment of an identity. However, it is predicted that the strength of this relation will be moderated by individual attributes and situational factors. So I develop a moderated model and several hypotheses to test the moderating effects of conscientiousness, core self-evaluation, peer support, and hierarchical status on the identity threat-workplace gossip relation. I will use this model to explore employees’ responses to identity threat, such as workplace gossip, and their implications for future research on identity threat within organization.
