Abstract: 본 연구는 한국어 유사 반복구문 ‘-거나/-건’, ‘-든/든지/든가’를 말뭉치 기반으로 분석하여 이들의 문법적, 의미적, 담화적 특성을 비교하고자 한다. 이를 통해 반복구문의 변별적 특징을 도출하고, 외국인 학습자를 위한 한국어 문법 교육에 유용한 자료를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다.
This study examines the similar repetition ending forms of ‘-거나/건’, ‘-든/ 든지/든가’ in Korean through a corpus-based approach. The primary aim is to analyze the grammatical, semantic, and discourse similarities and differences among these repeated constructions and provide practical insights for Korean grammar education. While these forms share the semantic feature of “choice” and exhibit structural similarities, their usage contexts reveal unique syntactic and pragmatic constraints. This paper also addresses gaps in existing Korean grammar dictionaries, which often fail to distinguish these forms’ nuanced uses, causing challenges for Korean language learners. By systematically comparing these constructions, the study offers a more comprehensive framework for understanding their application and variability, contributing to the development of effective instructional materials for teaching Korean as a foreign language.
