    摘要: 知識經濟社會不能再是一個資源無限而盲目擴張的時代,人類文明若祈求永續發展,那麼知識經濟時代也必須同時是生態經濟,此一情境其實就是後現代特徵之多元文化情境,在其中,往昔相互衝突的科學典範、生活形式、思維模式、價值取向之間的可能關係必須尋求一種新的理論方向,而傳統「化約性」、垂直控管式的理性概念及其運作方式顯然已經無能勝任。本文嘗試討論德國學者魏爾許(Wolfgang Welsch)所竭力闡揚的「橫繫理性」(transversale Vernunft)在對應多元文化情境上的重要性,進而申論其對於傳統大學通識教育改革實踐取向之啟示。準此,作者提出「虛靈的認同」、「謙卑的外推」、「開放的對話」、「自發的連結」、「詩情的網化」等五項創意性基本表現要素,作為「生態經濟」時代通識教育實踐之準繩;簡而言之,本文主張生態經濟時代人類文明出路的出發點乃是「橫繫理性」,而其具體表現則為「網化思維」(networking thinking),兩者都體現後現代美感思維之符徵(ästhetische Signaturen postmoderne)。The society of knowledge-based economy shouldn`t be still an age characteristic of limitless resources and blind extension. If human civilization strives for sustainable development, then the knowledge-based economy must be the eco-economy at the same time. In fact, this situation reflects the postmodern multicultural condition in which the conventional contradictory paradigms-such as scientific discipline, life style, mental pattern and value orientation-must search for new theoretical argumentation to construct their new possible relationship, while the concept of traditional ”reductive” and vertical-controlling rationality could not function any longer. This article attempts to introduce the concept of ”transversal rationality” (transversale Vernunft) by the German philosopher Wolfgang Welsch and its significance in coping the pluralistic challenge, furthermore, to discuss the implication of this concept with regard to the general education of university for the age of ecology-economy. Accordingly, the author try to pose five significant manifestations of the transversal rationality in realm of the instructional development-fuzzy/flexible identity, modesty strangification, open dialogue, spontaneous connection, poetic networking.
