Abstract:	漢傳密教是一個很重要但是被忽視的學術領域，對整個東亞宗教有很深的影響。學界對漢傳密教已經有初步的研究成果。但是對道教與密教的關係，仍處在初步的研究階段。道教與密教在傳統學術研究一直是分化為兩個研究領域，學者只受限於個別宗教的學術訓練，只專注於個別宗教特定派別或教義之研究。而這種研究現象一方面強化各宗教的獨立論述之外，二方面缺乏整體性之宗教互動與複雜網絡的觀察，只能呈現歷史中特定宗教的單一面向，而致使宗教研究趨於平板化與狹隘化。本計畫透過跨領域的研究，以摩利支天做為案例，提出嶄新的見解，對學術發展有重大貢獻。
