    Abstract: 本計畫為結合宗教學、社會學、性別學的跨領域研究，是國內較為罕見的研究取徑，關切的當代問題以及台灣人間佛教中的「女力」，也都能適切反映佛教與台灣社會的互動邏輯與效應。香光尼僧團為一相當具代表性的尼僧團，長期致力發展佛教應對社會變遷的策略，以及反思栽培當代比丘尼的主體性。彥研究香光，將有助於理解其他台灣比丘尼的處境和經驗傳承方式，也利於提供國際重建比丘尼僧團運動的利基，將是結合佛教與性別研究的絕佳案例。
