In traditional insurance business processes, customer data did not use between different insurance companies, leading to information asymmetry and the risk of single points of failure. However, Blockchain, with its decentralized, immutable, and transparent features, has revolutionized the operation of insurance businesses, enhancing the efficiency and security of data processing.
The Insurancechain, led by the Life Insurance Association of the Republic of China, is a consortium blockchain system that facilitates cooperation between insurance companies and hospitals. The application of blockchain technology in the insurance business mainly on policy management, claims processing, and data verification. With blockchain, the processes of policy creation and certification are recorded on the blockchain, allowing customers and insurance companies to query and verify data at any time, mitigating the risk of data tampering.
Blockchain facilitate collaboration among insurance companies and cross-industry cooperation, forming a new digital platform ecosystem. The platform interfaces with hospitals via API technology, achieving data sharing and standardization, reducing transaction costs, and improving operational efficiency. The core functions of the platform transform the value structure within the ecosystem, creating new value for the insurance ecosystem.
Insurancechain, through the application of blockchain technology, achieves data transparency, process simplification, and information security, bringing significant benefits to insurance operations. The expansion and continuous optimization of the platform will further drive the digital transformation and innovative development of the insurance industry.
