The content of the Tsinghua bamboo slips often concerns ancient Chinese political thought, therefore is worth researching. From the perspective of political awareness, this project analyzes two directions of political discourse in the Tsinghua bamboo slips: 1. people-oriented thought and legitimacy of political power, and 2. the image of the righteous official and Yi Yin. Through close reading and conceptual analysis of the Tsinghua bamboo slips, this project aims to gain understanding of political awareness in ancient Chinese political thought, in order to systematically illustrate characteristics of Chinese culture.
