The department of Chinese Literature of National Chengchi University has outstanding contribution in education, academic research and social participation. Especially its contribution in Classics study, which was established by the first generation scholars during the early age of recalibration, was important to the postwar Classics study in Taiwan. Although Gou-Ming, the founder of the department of Chinese Literature of NCCU, came from Central University in Nanjing, and quite a lot teachers in it during the early age were related to CU(including the predecessor Southeast University), so it gives an impression that the department of Chinese Literature of NCCU is belong to the school of Nan-Yong.But besides Gou-Ming, Shiung Gong-Zhe and Lui Tai-Xi were both graduated from Beijing University. Wang Mong-Ou was graduated from Xiamen University and studied abroad to Waseda University in Japan. Also with Lou Jun-Yuan was graduated from Chi Nan University in Shanhai, and Pan Guang-Sheng was graduated from Sichuan University. These Classics study connected scholars made great contribution to educating, postgraduate students guiding, academic papers reporting, books publishing and factual books writing. However, who’s they sat the feet of? what’s the source of their knowledge? And what’s the style of their studies? Are they tend to be consistent(like the school of Zhang-Huang)? Or are multiple coexistence? The most important is that they performed the identity style of classics study or not, and became a model for posterity with their distinctive results in classics study? By exploring these issues,we can not only have a deeper understanding to the achievement of classics study in the department of Chinese Literature of NCCU but give value of providing successor references, and we can also make an objective assessment by the overall context of the development of post-war Taiwan classics studies.
