Plastic pollution has become one of the most significant and urgent environmental issues nowadays. All the numbers and reports are telling us we must deal with the plastic issue or it will become a serious crisis to impact ourselves and the next generations. However, during the pandemic of Covid-19, the use of plastics even increased especially in the food and beverage industry. But it also brings an opportunity to accelerate digital transformation. The intense competition in the industry also compels businesses to constantly innovate products and service experiences, and strengthen brand image to capture larger profit margins. In addition, there is a growing recognition of the need to deal with plastic pollution. Governments, businesses, and non-profit organizations are taking steps to reduce plastic use and implement policies to reduce plastic pollution. Considering the industry trend and the rising environmental consciousness, it’s an opportunity to start a business that provides a solution that just fits the market’s needs. This business plan elaborates on the company’s ideas of sharing economy, circular economy, and how we utilize reusable food containers to offer a sustainable solution both for the merchants and the customers. We believe that most merchants know the importance of sustainability, they just don’t have the knowledge and resources, and they need to consider the margin and efficiency. We believe that most customers care about the environment, they just need choices that are convenient, affordable, and easy to access. And we are going to create an ecosystem for restaurants, customers, and partnered enterprises working together for a more sustainable future. |
