摘要: "Positive Psychological capital" has been constructed as a composition of self-efficacy, optimism, hope, and resilience (Luthans, Luthans, & Luthans, 2004). Now, it's the highlight in the field of positive psychology research. Self-affliction has been constructed as a tendency of self-destruction in various aspects (Wu, 2013; Wu, Lin, & Lu, under review). According to the broaden-and-build theory, we are interested in a person with high self-affliction tendency will reduce the performance of the positive psychological capitals. Using structured questionnaires, we collected data from a sample of 1,104 freshmen in a comprehensive university. Hierarchical regression analyses showed that self-affliction tendency had a negative effect on PPC performance. To conclude, an agenda for future research is outlined.
