In recent years, with the rise of blockchain technology, tokenized assets based on this technology have been flourishing. However, it has also been noticed that these tokenized assets face challenges with low liquidity. In order to expand the impact of blockchain and achieve interoperability between different blockchains, research on cross-chain interoperability has become a crucial area of focus. Additionally, R3 Corda, as a widely adopted enterprise blockchain solution, provides a more private and efficient distributed ledger environment.
Based on the aforementioned reasons, this research aims to explore the application of R3 Corda enterprise blockchain technology to enable cross-chain tokenized asset pledge for fundraising. The research utilizes Ethereum`s ERC-721 non-fungible token standard as the collateral and designs the platform architecture by referencing relevant literature. The research implements the functionalities of the fundraising platform using the Corda blockchain, including tokenized asset collateralization, propose pledge function, pay off function, and other operations, thereby offering a solution to enhance the liquidity of tokenized assets.
The experimental system developed in this research confirms the feasibility of borrowing against tokenized assets used as collateral. The utilization of Corda`s notary nodes and transaction features, along with the designed bridge node facilitating information exchange between Corda and Ethereum, constitutes the primary contributions of this research, providing valuable insights for future practical applications.
