摘要: Workplace stress is acknowledged as a serious issue that has negative consequences on businesses, such as lower productivity, poor job performance, greater turnover rates, and higher healthcare costs. Studies show that mindfulness increases the capacity for problem-solving, decision-making, creativity, general productivity, and other positive outcomes in addition to reducing anxiety and burnout. Concerns are expressed, however, regarding the instrumentalization of mindfulness for the solitary purpose of improving employee performance, as opposed to fostering their personal growth and well-being. Additionally, the thesis emphasizes the need for organizations to recognize the broader implications of workplace mindfulness and consider incorporating it into corporate social responsibility initiatives. By doing so, organizations can not only improve the well-being of their employees, but also contribute to the development of society through an increase in ethical decision-making, compassion, and emotion management. The conclusion offers suggestions for businesses on how to effectively implement workplace mindfulness initiatives, highlighting the need for both top-down encouragement and bottom-up initiatives. Ultimately, this thesis advocates for the recognition of mindfulness as an essential workplace component, highlighting its transformative potential for individuals, organizations, and society at large.
