    摘要: 本文旨在研究趨勢科技在應對新型態資安威脅和 EDR/XDR 市場需求的興起方 面所採取的策略,以及資安雲端平台化的趨勢。此外,後起的競爭廠商提供雲 端原生端點偵測與回應平台,其具有更快速提供客戶新功能、隨時更新防護能 力以及敏捷的組織型態等優勢。該公司在此競爭環境中一方面欲進入新的端點 偵測與回應市場,同時希望削弱競爭對手的資安市場佔有率侵蝕速度,故在近 兩年(2020-2022)大規模改變組織型態,轉化為原生的敏捷式組織,以快速建立 雲端端點偵測與轉型雲端資安平台化。此敏捷轉型使該公司在短時間內取得該 領域的領導者地位。

    敏捷研究常著眼於研究原生的新創公司如 AWS、Spotify 等,這些公司的組織 型態採用敏捷的小組織運作形態。相較之下,有歷史的大型企業進行大規模的 敏捷組織轉型較為少見。本研究以趨勢科技由階層組織架構、千人研發單位大 規模轉型為研究主題,加上探討美軍在伊拉克戰爭取的勝利的靈活組織,以及 Spotify 原生的敏捷組織,來進一步分析其轉型成功要素,以供後續敏捷研究的 基礎。因此,本文將探討該公司的敏捷轉型過程中所採取的組織架構敏捷化和管理制度變革等策略,並分析其成功要素,本研究提供後續敏捷研究的基礎,同時期望能為後續大型企業的敏捷轉型提供借鏡與啟示。
    The purpose of this thesis is a case study study of the strategies adopted by Trend Micro in responding to the rise of new types of cybersecurity threats and the demand for EDR/XDR markets, as well as the trend of cybersecurity platformization. In addition, emerging competitors offer cloud-native endpoint detection and response platforms, which have advantages such as faster delivery of new features to customers, constantly updated protection capabilities, and agile organizational structures. The company aims to enter the new endpoint detection and response market while also hoping to weaken the competition`s market share erosion rate. Therefore, in the past two years (2020-2022), it has undergone a large-scale transformation of its organizational structure, transforming into a native agile organization, in order to quickly establish a cloud-based endpoint detection and response platform and transform to a cloud-native cybersecurity platform. This agile transformation has enabled the company to quickly become the leader in this field.

    Agile research often focuses on studying cloud native companies such as AWS, Spotify, etc., whose organizational structures adopt agile small team operating modes. In contrast, it is rare for historical large enterprises to undergo large-scale agile organizational transformations. This study focuses on the topic of Trend Micro`s transformation from a hierarchical organizational structure to a large-scale agile research and development unit, and also explores the flexible organization that the U.S. military achieved in the Iraq War victory and the native agile organization of Spotify to further analyze the success factors of their transformations, providing a basis for subsequent agile research. Therefore, this article will explore the strategies of organizational structure and management system changes adopted by the company during its agile transformation process, and analyze its success factors, providing a basis for subsequent agile research, while also hoping to provide reference and inspiration for the agile transformation of subsequent large enterprises.
