    摘要: 本研究採用個案研究法,以A公司為研究對象,旨在分析伺服器產業以及個案公司的競爭優勢來源及其競爭策略。競爭優勢即是競爭比較的結果,就企業的層面來說,除了審視自身企業有的資源和能力,還要檢視整體產業的產業特性,才能發展對自身企業有利的競爭策略,故本研究使用策略管理中常見的分析工具及理論,包含波特五力模型以及資源基礎理論,探討企業組織在產業之中要如何因應競爭,以及如何運用組織內部的資源和能力來形成競爭優勢和策略。
    本研究歸納出伺服器產業目前的競爭激烈程度為中等水平,且受到上游供應商及下游客戶較高的議價能力所影響,另外也面臨著替代品及潛在進入者的威脅。而個案A公司為市場領導廠商之一,擁有具價值性、稀有性和難以模仿性的資源和能力得以和業內的競爭者對抗,個案公司應持續強大其產品和服務的差異化來保有其市場地位。
    This thesis adopts the case study method and takes Company A as the research case, aiming to analyze the source of competitive advantage and the competitive strategy of the case company. Competitive advantage is the result of competitive comparison. At the enterprise level, in addition to examining the resources and capabilities of its own company, it is also necessary to examine the industrial characteristics of the overall industry in order to develop a competitive strategy that is beneficial to its own company. Therefore, this study uses common tool and theories in strategic management, including Porter`s five forces model and the resource-based theory, to discuss how a company should respond to competition in the industry, and how to use internal resources and capabilities to form the competitive advantage and strategy.
    This study concludes that the current level of competition in the server industry is medium level. The industry is affected by the high bargaining power of suppliers and customers and faces the threat of substitutes. Case company is one of the market leaders, and it has resources and capabilities which are valuable, rare, and difficult to imitate, so it can compete with the industry`s competitors. Case company should continue to strengthen the differentiation of its products and services to maintain its market position.
