The proposal of "local path" is a breakthrough in thinking and form in the writing of literary history. Going out of the "Tale of Two Cities" centered on Beijing and Shanghai in literary history, discovering a more diverse and expansive "place", breaking the monotony and prejudice of the previous linear narrative mode, and integrating the elements and horizons of multiple spaces will help re-examine the occurrence/development of modern literature. The coexistence of old and new in Macao literature has become its characteristic and tradition that distinguishes it from other Chinese cities. From the perspective of "local path", Macao literature can not only merge into the grand tradition of literary history, but it is also a tradition of literary history, full of its own uniqueness and locality.
