Sino-Latin American relationships have undergone tremendous changes since the beginning of the new century, and their relationships are not simply bilateral cooperation, but with the entangled with the United States, it has become a triangular interaction. The policies and reactions of the United States, especially of the new president Donald Trump, will definitely reflect its orientation towards China`s foreign policy to a certain extent, but also affect the further development of Sino- Latin American relations. The current chaotic situation in Venezuela highlights the differences in influences from China and the U.S. in the region. China should work with the U.S., Venezuelan neighbor countries and international organizations to work thorough this crisis and to help alleviate the present economic, political and humanitarian predicaments in Venezuela, while at the same time establishing positive examples of Chinese overseas lending and investments for others.
