Under the Xi Jinping Administration, Mainland China is following the past trajectory and elevating the economic and trade relations with Latin America into a higher level. China has adopted two-pronged strategy, on the one hand, strengthening political exchanges between leaders of two sides; on the other, enhancing economic and trade relations through financial loans to Latin American nations, especially integrating Latin America into the Belt & Road Initiative. On the basis of geo-economic angle, this research is to analyze how Mainland China actively participates into the infrastructural construction in Latin America through the financial loan scheme sponsored by Chinese policy banks. In addition, Chinese enterprises obtain the opportunities to join the local constructions as the role of general manager.
