Abstract: Photovoltaic manufacturing industry is one of the most important new energy industries in Taiwan, however, global photovoltaic manufacturers have expanded market actively and the fierce cut-price competition between countries cause negative impact on Taiwan`s photovoltaic manufacturing industry.
The research purpose is to provide references and recommendations to Taiwanese photovoltaic manufacturers; therefore, I choose three companies, Canadian Solar Inc., Jinko Solar and LONGi Green Energy, which have higher bankability level to conduct case analysis. By knowing those companies’ risk response and success model, I hope can put forward suggestions as reference to Taiwanese photovoltaic manufacturers. Besides, I use SWOT analysis to evaluate Taiwan’s current industry pros, cons and opportunities.
COVID-19caused a global pandemic and brought several huge negative impacts to photovoltaic industry, including the postponement of financial cycle leading to the financial difficulty, the logistics stagnation leading to the rise of delivery risk and the deterioration of global commercial environment and international trading policies leading to the future demand fluctuation. Some policy and management suggestions for COVID-19 are proposed based on the conclusions of the study.
