    摘要: The worldwide medical device manufacturing industry has been continuously growing due to the aging population and increasing awareness of healthcare. Though the medical device market is primarily dominated by the U.S and Europe, Taiwanese manufacturers have established their reputation by providing medical products of good quality. However, medical device manufacturing is a highly capital-intensive industry, while most of the medical device manufacturers in Taiwan are small and medium-sized companies. This situation had forced Taiwanese manufacturers to heavily rely on offering contract manufacturing services for large global corporations which led to fierce price competition and low gross margin.
    Therefore, this business proposal uses a case company (A company) as an example and analyzes this company and its industry by using several methods and planning techniques, to provide executable and practical business strategy recommendations for Taiwanese medical device manufacturers.
