Abstract:	在乾嘉漢學的高峰之後與道咸今文經學開始盛行的這段時期，亦即在嘉慶、道光之際的所謂「嘉道時期」，其學術表現往往是一般在研究清代經學史、學術史時都較易忽略的。事實上，這段具有過渡、銜接或轉型性質的階段，在經學上的表現是具有相當程度承先啟後的地位，可說是溝通乾嘉漢學與晚清今文經學這兩個重要學術階段的橋樑。而在這所謂的「嘉道學術」當中，胡承珙（1776-1832）無疑地是一位非常重要的經學家。他不但承續著乾嘉漢學的餘緒，而且也與許多後來以今文經學名家的學者，如龔自珍（1792-1841）、魏源（1794-1857）等人頗有往來。因此研究胡承珙的學術，不但可以對其本身所繼承的漢學宗風有一定程度的理解，而且也可以對這個時期的經學實質內涵，以及學風的轉變有更深入細緻的體察。
