Abstract:	五四時期的中國不論是在政治、外交、社會、以及學術等各方面，皆掀起一股對於傳統、現狀極為不滿的聲浪，許多知識分子紛紛致力於新文化與新思潮的引介。他們以辦雜誌或出版專書的形式介紹來自西方各國、以及日本、俄國等地的文化與思潮。在當時不僅是反傳統的人致力於新知的引介，部份被視為是文化保守的知識分子亦同樣贊成新知的引介。但彼此對於對方所選擇引介的“新知”卻頗有微詞。本文選擇《新青年》和《學衡》為例進行分析研究。先將期刊中刊載的各篇文章加以統計，之後再進一步將兩份雜誌加以比較、分析。同時，將統計分析所呈現出來的數據與當時的時代環境加以結合，解說兩者之間的關係。
