Based on previous corruption contagion studies, this study uses spatial autocorrelation in geographic information system (GIS) to analyze the prosecution for corruption in the local government over 2006-2011, weighted by number of civil servant. Results from analysis based on global and local autocorrelation statistic show no significant corruption contagion effects among local governments. In terms of the results of map overlapping, this study also finds that the cluster of corruption are somehow related with socioeconomic variables (government size, unemployment rate, and education).
