There have been a great number of evangelists took Blockchain as the antidote for increasing transparency and accountability of supply chain. Nevertheless, researches have barely begun to practical assess the impacts of blockchain on supply chain management. This paper examines the comprehensive assessing of Blockchain technology applying on supply chain by comparation between Blockchain-based solution and non-blockchain-based solution and the deficiencies exploration of practical implementation. This paper takes food supply chain management as supply chain scenario and completes with the depth interviews of related solution providers to present the details and perspectives of both Blockchain-based solution and non-blockchain-based solution, assisting the decision makers to adopt the information technology solutions more appropriately.
