    摘要: 自1980 年代中國進行經濟體制改革以後，其龐大的國防工業體系也歷經變化。 影響其國防工業體系發展的最大因素是其配合國有企業的改革，因為其國防工業均屬國有企業。另一方面，隨著改革的深入發展，中國越來越認識到市場角色的重要性，也開始在國防工業體系發展市場化的改革。然而，中國國防工業體系市場化的概念和意義是什麼？市場化程度有多深及能多深？影響市場化發展的促進和妨礙因素有那些？和美國為代表的國防工業體系市場化在概念上和具體實踐上是匯合(convergence)或分流(divergence)？最重要的是發展過程其能否反映亞洲發展國防工業的一種變化？本研究案擬以中國國防工業的發展做為瞭解亞太發展轉型的案例。
    China is undertaking market oriented reform in its defense industry in the context of overall state own enterprises (SOEs) transformation. The questions are: how does China conceive this marketization of its defense industry? To what extent, this marketization can go? What are factors that facilitate and/or constrain this marketization? Comparing with the US experience, is China’s conceptualization of marketization convergence or divergence with US modality? Does this transformation of marketization reflect Asian modality in defense industry? This project, by focusing on China’s defense industry, aims to answer the above questions in order to illuminate Asian development modality.
