Title:	一個無線區域網路應用層負載分散協定

Abstract:	在IEEE 802.11 基礎架構的無線網路下，當過多的無線工作站聯結至同一無線基地台時，整體的資料傳輸量會降低。無線工作站只依據最高信號強度指標值來選擇無線基地台，因此加入多餘的無線基地台時，並無法保證系統的負載能夠平均分散到所有的無線基地台。以往的做法大多需要修改無線基地台，因此現有已建置的無線基地台並無法適用。我們提出不修改無線基地台的解決方案，透過SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol) 協定，讓伺服器收集無線基地台的負載相關資訊。無線工作站連上網路後，透過伺服器了解收訊範圍內無線基地台的負載程度，重新選擇負載較輕的無線基地台進行重聯結。這個方法的優點是不需變更原有無線基地台的設計，任何支援SNMP 協定的現有無線基地台均可獲益。我們以實作的方式驗證了此方案的可行性。實驗數據顯示我們的方法的確能分散無線工作站的流量至各個無線基地台，顯著改善整個網路的資料傳輸量。
