    Abstract: 本文旨在提出一套以主題式教學為主的教學設計及教材編寫方法,並指出此一方法能有效幫助華語教師設計、發展其短期班教學流程。本文所提出的主題式教學方式,乃一著重溝通,教師於課間引導,課時及課後讓學生大量練習,以鞏固其記憶,強化學生聽說能力的教學方式。主題式教學不但能促進學生自主學習,且能幫助各種程度及學習模式的學生合班學習。考量短期華語班課時短、學生來源及程度不一的特性後,本文以為主題式教學對短期班教學來說,算是相當有效的教學模式。本文第一部份旨在呈現該教材與教學設計中之主要內容:第二部份則從編寫者實際教學經驗及實驗出發,探討其特點與教學成效。本文擬在前人研究基礎上,進一步提出教學發現與成果,以期能提供給華語教學者作為教學設計之參考。
