    摘要: 本計畫《「人欲」的社會性論述及其思想史意義:以晚清民初報刊雜誌的公共話語為中心》,在研究對象上,主要涵括兩個部分:第一,在人欲的議題方面,近現代的學者除了延續過去傳統思想家對於孟、荀所言「性之善、惡」的爭議,以及其他時代人性論的闡釋以外,在近現代思潮影響底下,中國傳統人性主題與西學的交涉,更進一步含括了道德哲學、倫理學、心理學、社會學、經濟學、法律學、政治學、宗教學、文學、生物學等等論域的知識課題。這些西學知識與中國傳統人性論、人欲觀念,究竟展示了什麼樣的思想對話契機與論述議題的深化?從洋務運動1861年至1949年兩岸分治,近百年來這段中國經歷世變的思想劇烈變動時代,有關人欲議題的各種言論,多呈現於報刊雜誌的刊載,若將這些文獻材料加以繫年排序,則近現代人欲觀念史的脈絡,究竟可以反映出什麼樣呼應時代思潮、政治社會變遷的「人欲」論述及其思想史上的意義?事實上,報刊雜誌作為知識發話的載體,說話人、受話人、文本、溝通、語境等要素所形塑的「人欲」之公共話語及討論,已非簡單化約成善╱惡、義╱利、王╱霸傳統命題所能含括。在變動時代及多元學術的氛圍底下,人欲觀念的論述及其發展歷程,也正足以呼應思想轉型時代的豐富意涵。
