    Abstract: 在經濟仍然低迷及對在任者極為不利的高失業率情況下，歐巴馬總統順利贏得連任，顯然經濟議題不見得能夠主導選舉的走向。二○一二年的選舉結果所顯示的重要意涵，就是美國選舉人團制度、人口結構的改變、及性別差距，為民主黨候選人能夠獲勝的原因。民主黨在少數族裔、女性、年青族群、自由派、及支持同性戀權益的選民中，占有絕對的優勢，而亞裔在近年總統大選中，由七成支持共和黨轉為七成支持民主黨，也讓兩黨政治結盟出現變化，我們甚至可以將去年的總統選舉定義為亞裔的重組選舉。
